About psoriasis
Psoriasis is a skin disease that comes in several forms, but plaque psoriasis is the most common. Plaques are raised red patches covered with a whitish buildup of dead skin cells called scale. They usually show up on elbows, knees, scalp, and lower back, but they can appear anywhere. Plaques often itch or hurt.
